Well!!!! this is different! hehehehe... it was such a new experience!!! I did this drawing with Painter!!!! yeah! first time using it!!!! hahahaha it was fun! but it's really hard because I have never use that one before...
Any way... I got the inspiration from and this awesome drawing I saw yesterday: [link] I'm sure most of you saw it because it got a loooot of faves!!! she's such a great artist!!! I really love her work! and she got me inspired!!! take a look at her artist's comment, she link to other artists who inspired her into this art style....
My drawing is based on this painting [link] by Leonardo Da Vinci, and of corse... "based" of corse.. because it's hard to get that style hahahaha, so it's just belle using the same color style from the painting...
This is unmistakably Belle from Beauty and the Beast, so you've done a wonderful job capturing that character. You've also done a great job using the Leonardo da Vinci style texture for your piece. I thought it was especially helpful that you linked to the piece to show the style you were attempting to mimic, as not everyone may be familiar with that particular work of art.
Your watermark is even written in a da Vinci-esque style which flows with the theme of this particular piece.
I also enjoy the lighting techniques you used, as it really gives this piece a 3-Dimensional look to it, which seems to bring Belle right off of the page. Great job!
Outstanding - and congratulations! I can see why you won the Disney Babes contest with this one - this is the kind of work that wouldn't look out of place in Art Of The Disney Princess or an art museum! (Faves and recommends)
Anytime! Art Of The Disney Princess is a collection of Princess art by professional artists that you can pick up at Borders or Barnes & Noble, so if I say it wouldn't look out of place in there, I mean that I think this could hang with the pros.
